VOLATILE STORAGE
By Stumpy, with Taskmaster X
This Attribute is a variation of ENERGY TANKS that inflicts a detrimental effect to the character if he keeps his stored energy over 110 EP.
Customisation
- Buildup FX: The FX that appears on the character when their stored Energy gets above 110.
- Effect: The negative effect that is inflicted upon the character.
- Explosion: The type of Explosion Power if vsExplode is chosen as the Effect.
- Ambient?: Choosing Ambient allows the character to slowly regenerate Energy Points past the normal 100 points through the absorption of ambient energy such as sunlight, cosmic rays, etc. These characters need to watch their Energy carefully and expel the excess Energy or their negative side effect will occur. Also, if the character gets Panicked or Enraged, their recharge rate is increased, simulating their adrenaline increasing their rate at which they accumulate the excess Energy, and run a higher risk of their negative effect occurring.
- Storage: This is the kind of Energy storage the character has:
- vsBattery: This kind of storage allows the character to store up to 150 points of Energy after which there’s a random chance that the character will experience the negative effect. The more Energy the character has, the higher the chance.
- vsRedirect: This kind of storage only allows the character to hold onto Energy above 110 for 6 seconds. Once the 6 seconds are up, they experience the negative effect if they didn’t expend the excess Energy. This is useful for simulating characters that can’t really store Energy but instead, they can only redirect the excess Energy absorbed.
Side effects
- vsProgressiveDamage: The character repeatedly takes damage for as long as the character holds onto the excess Energy. The higher the amount of excess Energy, the more damage the character takes.
- vsExplode: The character releases the excess Energy through an Explosion damaging everything near them. The higher the amount of excess Energy, the more powerful the explosion.
- zapEnergy: The character releases the excess energy and loses energy points and their energy recharge will be decreased. The higher the amount of excess Energy, the larger the amount of Energy Points are drained and the longer it will take to recharge.
- vsStun: The character releases the excess energy and is Stunned for a certain amount of time. The higher the amount of excess Energy, the longer the period of Stun.
- vsTakeDamage: The character releases the excess Energy and takes damage. The higher the amount of excess Energy, the higher the amount of damage the character takes.
- vsIrradiate: The character releases the excess energy and becomes Irradiated. The higher the amount of excess Energy, the longer the period of being Irradiated.
- vsHalfHealth: After releasing the excess Energy the character’s maximum and current health halves.
